Custom serves notice on Ayyan to recover Rs 50m fine

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate has served a notice on model Ayyan Ali to recover Rs 50 million fine imposed by the Customs Adjudication.

Islamabad Customs Investigation and Prosecution Assistant Collector Tahir Iqbal Khattak taking legal step issued notice to the model directing her to deposit the amount in national kitty within the seven days.

The notice further stated that the department will take action against her under Section 202 of the Customs Act, 1969 to recover the imposed fine if she did not deposit it during the said period. The department will seize her property or attach bank accounts for recovering the amount.

Sources said that the notice has been received to the model and she will be liable to pay fine within seven days. The model can move the Islamabad Customs Appellate Tribunal against the orders of the Customs Adjudication, if she not paid fine.
