 Sialkot ASO confiscates contraband items worth Rs 300,000

SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has seized smuggled Rani Juice, red chilli, Indian cloth, and tea from a vehicle during road checking.

Sialkot ASO Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary, along with his team, was checking the vehicles near the airport road. Meanwhile, a truck was coming to Sialkot from Azad Jammu and Kashmir that was intercepted.

During the checking, the officials recovered a huge quantity of Rani Juice, red chilli, Indian cloth, tea etc. The driver of the truck was inquired about the documents pertaining to the customs clearance but he could not satisfy the officials. Therefore, the officials seized the items under the customs laws and registered a case against the driver.
