Appraisement -West conducts millions of rupees auctions in April

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate – Appraisement – West has collected millions of rupees revenue by conducting a massive auction exercise during the entire month of April 2016.

The Customs Appraisement -West has conducted the auctions of general cargo and confiscated vehicles from April-4 to April-25.

According to details, the auction of general cargo, included fiber boxes, PVC scrape, tyre scrape, looms, paper machinery, piston rings, leather paints, leather jackets, chemicals, electricity goods, auto-parts, iron scrape, wooden scrape, CCTV cameras, aluminum chloride, bowlers, picture tubes, speakers, cylinders, plastic scrape and etc.

The first auction of general cargo and vehicles was held from April 4 to April 25 at BOML, CPF Bond, KICT and AICT.

The second auction was held from April 4 to April 21 at AICT/KICT, adding that the auction of vehicles was held from April 5 to April 23, at AICT/CPF Bond.

The vehicles which were included in the auctions were tractors, Mercedes, Vitz, Alto, Zero Emission, Toyota, Mark-II, X, Gerya, Corolla, Pick-up, Clipper, Premio, Movo, Hiace and others.

The terms and conditions of the auction was that the bidders should have to pay 25 percent cash payment on the time of auction while remaining 75 percent would have to pay by the auctioneers within 7 days of the auction.
