Customs Intelligence seizes 2000 liquor bottles, 30 LEDs

KARACHI: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Quetta has confiscated 2,000 bottles of liquor and 30 non-customs paid LED TV during a raid.

The Customs Intelligence director received information that an attempt might be carried out to smuggle huge quantity of liquor bottles and electronics. Subsequently, he formed a team under the supervision of Deputy Director Inamullah Wazir.

The team started checking of vehicles at Babozai Road and intercepted a Mazda truck. The officials while searching recovered 2,000 bottles of liquor and 30 LED TV worth Rs 7.5 million.

Therefore, the officials detained the items and arrested two persons – driver and helper – during the raid and registered a case under the Customs Act, 1969.
