KARACHI: The Revenue Division of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has written a letter to the Accountant General (AG) of Pakistan for the re-designation the post of Data Controlling Assistant (BS-10) as Data Processing Assistant (BS-16) against the appeal No435 to 460(R) CS-2012, filed by Syed Mueez-ul-Hassan and others versus the FBR chairman.
In the letter, the Second Secretary (Mgt C-IV) directed to convey the sanction of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the up-gradation of the post of DCA, BPS-10 to BPS-16. As the DPA in the Directorate of Reforms and Automation (R&A) Customs Karachi, previously known as Office of the Chief Coordinator, Computerization and Programming (Customs) under the FBR with effect from 14-4-2016 i.e. the date of approval by the Finance Division.
The incumbent of the up-graded post will also stand up-graded, subject to the condition that no disciplinary proceedings are underway against them.
They will be however; up-graded after finalization of disciplinary proceedings. The expenditure involved will be met from within the sanctioned budget grant of the concerned filed formation during the current financial year.
Necessary amendment in the “Recruitment Rules” will be made separately with the concurrence of Establishment Division and Federal Public Service Commission.
Therefore, this issue with the approval of the Finance Division (Regulation Wing) and Establishment Division vide OM No 8/22/2013-R-1 dated 10-12-2015.
