DG Customs Valuation revises customs values of PE tarpaulin

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has revised the customs values of PE tarpaulin vide valuation ruling No.847/2016.

According to valuation ruling issued by Director Wasif Memon, consequent upon representation by commercial importers and in the backdrop of High Court’s orders regarding revision of valuation ruling No.584/2013 for PE tarpaulin, an exercise was undertaken to re-determine the customs value of PE Tarpaulin under PCT 6306.1210.

The customs value of PE tarpaulin finished (cut in different sizes with all standard accessories) has been fixed at $2.30/kg, China at $2.07/kg, Vietnam at $2.15/kg and all other origins at $2.35/kg.

The customs values of PE tarpaulin finished (without standard accessories) of Korea fixed at $1.85/kg, China at $1.65/kg, Vietnam at $1.70/kg and all other origins at $1.90/kg.
