FAISALABAD: Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Saima Aftab has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in favour of Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) Khushab.
Sources told Customs Today that FIU Khushab team intercepted a Hino dumper truck bearing registration No AE- 1193 (Sukkar) near Shahpur district Sargodha.
The drivers of the truck, who were identified as Zafar Ali son of Manzoor Ahmad and Khawaja Asad Maqsood son of Khawaja Maqsood Shahid, failed to produce any legal documents regarding possession of the truck.
The FIU team seized the vehicle under Section 168 of the customs act 1969 for the violation and sent its chassis for forensic test. The report says that vehicle chassis number was tampered.
Furthermore FSL Islamabad report has clarified that present chassis number is not original and that the vehicle seized in case is non duty paid and smuggled one.
Additional Collector Saima Aftab issued Order in Original (ONO) and confiscated the seized vehicle in favor of the Federal Government Under Section 156(1)89(i) of the Customs act 1969.
