FBR launches reward scheme for citizens to nab tax evaders

SIALKOT: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a reward scheme for those citizens who will help FBR nab tax evaders.

Sources told Customs Today that the FBR will register informers from the private sector for this purpose whereas the board will keep their names secret. Sources said that if the FBR will nab any tax evader by receiving secret information then it will give reward to the informer.

Sources said that if the amount of tax will less than Rs 500,000 then the FBR will give 20 percent of the collected amount whereas if the amount will be up to Rs 1 million then FBR will give reward of Rs 100,000 up to Rs 500,000.  Sources said that if any informer will not play vital role to help nab of tax evaders then FBR will distribute 50 percent reward among officials and staff
