FBR launches cash reward scheme “whilstleblower”

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue has adopted a unique strategy to flush out corrupt paractice and the corrupt officers from the Inland Revenue Service.

According to the detail, Federal Board of Revenue at its website has started a scheme of cash reward named “whistleblower” for the people who inform regarding the malpractices.

The purpose of the scheme is to stop the malpractice of hiding sales tax as well as income tax whereas to eye corrupt officers of the Inland Revenue Service.

The source informed that the name of the complainant would be kept secret where as the complain must be made with documented proof. On the other hand if the complainant found wrong the authority will have right to take strict action against bogus complaint. The complainant would be awarded with prize if the complaint found correct.
