Multan Customs Intelligence seizes auto parts, scrap worth Rs 1.5m

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has impounded a truck loaded with auto parts, iron and steel scrap worth Rs 1.5 million during an action in Multan region.

Officials said that the Customs Intelligence staff intercepted a truck bearing Registration No TKX-135 on Vehari Road during surveillance. During checking, the officials recovered foreign origin items, including auto parts, iron and steel scrap and asked the driver to show documents regarding the legal import of the items but he remained fail to do so.

Therefore, the Customs Intelligence seized goods worth Rs 1.5 million along with offender truck under the customs laws. FIR has been lodged after seizing the goods.
