Chief Commissioner Imran Kazmi warns tax evaders to pay outstanding amount until June 30

SIALKOT: Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Offices Sialkot Imran Raza Kazmi has said that Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Nisar Mohammad Khan has directed all the Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) to take all measures to collect outstanding  amounts from tax evaders.

Talking to Customs Today, the chief commissioner said that defaulters should pay taxes to avoid further action. He said that the FBR issued final notices to all tax evaders, warning them to clear their outstanding tax amount on priority basis. He said that if tax evaders will not clear the pending tax amount until June 30, 2016 then stern action will be taken against them.

FBR will collect the amount from the bank accounts of tax evaders after freezing the same. He said FBR will extend some concessions to those tax evaders who will come forward to clear their pending dues.

He said that government introduced Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) for non-filers and announced many incentives for them if they became filers. He said that many politicians, industrialists, are in tax defaulters list. He urged all the tax defaulters to pay taxes to avoid further actions.
