LAHORE: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized 13 tons of foreign origin cloth worth Rs 8 million during an action near Railways Station.
Customs Intelligence Superintendent Yasin Malik told Customs Today that on secret information, the officials intercepted two truck loaded with curtain cloth and seized the lot after the owners failed to produce legal clearance documents.
He added that the trucks were loaded with cloth from a godown located near Lahore Railways Station and were being transported to Akbari Mandi.
He added that case has been registered and further investigations have been started.
The raiding team led by Superintendent Yasin Malik was consisting of Superintendent Amjad Malik, Sohail Murtza, Zulfiqar, and others.
