RTOs speed-up tax recovery campaign, LTU trying to surpass target

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-I and II have sped up their tax recovery efforts after receiving directions from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Member Operation Dr. Irshad during his recent visit also directed all the chief commissioners to achieve revenue collection target.

After these directions, Chief Commissioner of Regional Tax Office-I Tasneem Rehman and Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office-II Khawaja Adnan Zaheer held meetings with other relevant zones and reviewed revenue collection statements on daily basis.

After receiveing these instructions, all the commissioners have geared up their efforts to receive tax from defaulters. The RTO authorities have also decided to attach the bank accounts of defaulters.

It is necessary to mention here that Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) is showing remarkable performance in achieving revenue target. Chief Commissioner Chaudhary Safder Hussain also trying to surpass the target like previous year.
