IHC benches adjourns cases of M/S Punjab Oil, Rawalpindi Customs

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday adjourned hearing of cases carrying complaints against federal excise duty and sales tax filed by M/S Punjab Oil Mills and Rawalpindi Customs collector.

IHC division bench comprising Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard the case filed by M/S Punjab Oil Mills and adjourned it with directions to conclude arguments on next hearing.

M/S Punjab Oil Mills has challenged a decision announced by the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue.

Another division bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the other case filed by Rawalpindi Customs collector. The appellant had filed the case against Customs Appellate Tribunal by challenging its decision before the court. Hearing of this case was adjourned until second week of June.
