RPO Tahir purposes to establish modern security system in Sialkot

SIALKOT: Additional Inspector General / Regional Police Officer (RPO) Gujranwala Region Muhammad Tahir today gave a proposal of establishing the most modern and elaborated security system called “IC-3 System” (Integrated Command, Control and Communication System) having police Dolphins for Sialkot to provide the round-the-clock London like security cover to the export-oriented Sialkot city.

He suggested this while addressing a largely attended important meeting of Sialkot exporters held at the auditorium of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here today, after inaugurating the newly established building of Pasrur city police station here. SCCI President Maj (Rtd) Mansur Ahmed presided over the meeting.

RPO added that export-oriented Sialkot city has its global industrial significance due to which the early launch of the IC-3 System at Sialkot was the need of the day to secure the Sialkot people, exporters and industries as well. Sialkot would have advanced surveillance monitoring system under this advanced and modern security system, which would also help in reducing the crime rate in Sialkot city.

He invited the Sialkot exporters to come forward and join the hands of the government to ensure the early start of this system in Sialkot, under the supervision of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

Sialkot exporters showed keen interest in this suggestion and assured favourable consideration on this plan as well.

RPO announced to provide complete security of life and property to the Sialkot business community and people as well. He highly hailed the unique export culture of Sialkot and its socio-economic and human development by Sialkot exporters on self help basis.

SCCI president Maj (Rtd) Mansur Ahmed added that the active mutual cooperation between the police and public could also be helpful in controlling the crimes, establishing durable peace in the society besides eliminating terrorism, militancy and extremism from the country.

Chairman Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) Malik Muhammad Ashraf, Chairman Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) Khawar Anwar Khawaja, VP SCCI Syed Ehtesham Gillani, DPO Sialkot Dr. Abid Khan, SP(Investigation) Sialkot Irfan Tariq Khan, senior member Sialkot District Peace Committee Zafar Malik, Senior Vice Chairman Sialkot Press Club Abid Hussain Mehdi and several leading exporters also attended the meeting.

Earlier, while addressing the participants of inaugural ceremony of newly established building of Pasrur City Police Station held at Pasrur here today, the Additional IG/Regional Police Officer Gujranwala Region Muhammad Tahir stressed upon the need of promotion of tolerance, positive thoughts and education for promoting the friendly good policing in the society and bringing positive changes in the society.

RPO revealed that the illiteracy and ignorance were the biggest enemies of our society, which create hurdles in the smooth provision of justice to the poor, needy and oppressed people in the society.

Seeking cooperation of the people in promoting good policing , the RPO Muhammad Tahir narrated that  the mutual cooperation among public, business community and police could also be help full in bringing betterment in police performance through the promotion of good policing , besides, helping a lot  rebuild the shattered confidence of the people over police.

RPO added that people-friendly police was vital to remove all the social immoralities , saying that the police was the servant of the masses and it was the prime obligation of the police to protect  the life, property and honour of the people.
