KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has collected Rs 2.567 billion during the first 20 days of May which is more than Rs 117 million from the 20 days of April.
Officials said that the SRB issued notice to 80 tax defaulters in previous 7 days, asking them to deposit their tax on priority basis. The officials are working hard to collect maximum amount in the wake of taxes to meet the target of the current fiscal year. The SRB chairman chairs a meeting with officials every week to review the situation.
It is pertinent to mention here that the SRB collected Rs 1.274 billion during the first ten days of May.
