Faisalabad RTO Zone-II collects Rs 76.8m until May 24

FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Zone-II of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 76.84 million under the head of sales tax until May 24, 2016.

Commissioner Muhammad Akram said that the current collection stood at Rs 67.48 million while the zone recovered Rs 9.35 million in the wake of arrears during the said period.

In shape of current collection, the unit-I of the zone collected Rs 23.62 million, unit-II Rs 20.84 million, unit-III Rs 21.51 million and unit-IV has collected Rs 1.43 million, he said.

He added that unit-I recovered Rs 2.72 million, unit-II Rs 2.60 million and the unit-III collected Rs 4.03 in wake of arrears during the said period.

Akram said that the RTO has expedited the efforts to recover taxes – income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty – to meet the target of ongoing financial year.
