Excise seals 108 properties on tax evasion in Lahore, Kasur

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed 108 properties in different areas of Lahore and Kasur on property tax evasion.

The department has also issued notices to more than 50,000 defaulters to pay their property tax with fine.

Official sources told Customs Today that following the directions of Director General Akram Ashraf Gondal, all regions have made special teams, which have started crackdown on property tax defaulters in Punjab

The excise sealed properties in different areas of Lahore, including Bahria Town, Faisal Town, Ferozepur Road and Raiwind. It has also collected Rs 20 million during special crackdown against property tax defaulters in Lahore.

The department sealed properties, as the owners failed to submit property tax even after many notices.
