AFU seizes eight bottles of alcohol at Faisalabad airport

FAISALABAD: The Customs Air Freight Unit (AFU) team recovered eight bottles of whisky worth Rs 40,000 during a crackdown.

Sources told Customs Today that AFU team recovered these bottles during checking of luggage of Gulf Air Flight No-790 which arrived here from Bahrain. The AFU team intercepted a passenger who was identified as Majid Munawar, a resident of Mustafabad . During the checking of his bag, the AFU team recovered eight bottles of foreign liquor. The AFU team seized the foreign liquor under section 2(s), 15 and 16 of the Customs Act 1969.
