Sargodha ASO impounds non-duty paid Toyota Crown car

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Sargodha has impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Crown car worth Rs 1.5 million involving duty /taxes amounting to Rs 1,090,000 near Khayam Chowk Sargodha city.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan received information regarding some non-duty paid vehicles which are plying on roads. He constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Inspectors Bashir Ahmad, Ansir Saleemi, Mahir Amir, Sepoys Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Mansha, Muhammad Abdullah, Muhammad Imran and Shafqat Mehmood and Muhammad Feroz.

The ASO team intercepted Toyota Crown car bearing registration no. LXQ- 3330 model 1970 and asked the owner Aqeel Khan son of Ghias Kkhan, a resident of Sattlite Town Sargodha, to produce legal documents regarding possession of Toyota car, but he failed to provide the same.

After his failure, the ASO team impounded the vehicle and registered a case against him and forward the cases to Adjudication department for further legal action.
