Multan Customs Collectorate surpasses revenue collection target of May‏

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate has surpassed revenue collection target for the month of May 2016.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Collectorate collected Rs 9,515.602 million revenue against the assigned target of Rs 6,327 million during the month of May. The Customs collected Rs 917.146 million customs duty against the assigned target of Rs 1,509.860 million in May. The collectorate collected 61 percent of customs duty during the month of May.

The sales collection rose by 27 percent to Rs 6,521.693 million during the period of May against Rs 4,789.820 million in the corresponding period of last year. The collection of federal excise duty by Customs was Rs 14.106 million against the revenue target of Rs 10.70 million. Multan Customs has collected Rs 18.021 million income tax against Rs 16.66 million during the month of May. The collection of additional sales tax by Customs was Rs 2.328 million during the month of May.

The Customs Collectorate Multan has successfully collected Rs 2,042.038 million petroleum levy during the month of May.
