RTOs gears up efforts to meet revenue collection target for financial year 2015-16

LAHORE: Chief Commissioners of Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) Tasneem Rehman and Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) Khawaja Adnan Zaheer have directed all commissioners to speed up their efforts to recover outstanding tax amount to meet the revenue collection target for the financial year 2015-16.

Sources told Customs Today that both the Regional Tax Offices commissioners and their respective staff are working hard for collection of income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty from defaulters.

The RTOs taems are paying surprise visits to different places to collect the outstanding revenue. The teams are also attaching bank accounts of those defaulters who are avoiding to pay tax willfully.

Source said that RTOs also speed up the process of tax audit after receiving directions from FBR.

Both Chief Commissioners of RTOs are optimistic that they will meet the revenue collection target till 31st June.
