FIA arrests human traffickers-cum-proclaimed offenders from Gujranwala division

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gujranwala Division arrested various human traffickers-cum-proclaimed offenders during raids at several areas the other day.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director FIA Khalid Anees constituted a teams under the supervision of Inspector Nasir Majeed and Sub-Inspector Javed Iqbal Ghumman. The team raided six districts of Gujranwala division which include, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin and Gujrat the other day. The team nabbed the human traffickers-cum-proclaimed offenders who were also marked in the Red Book. The names of the suspects are Muhammad Shahzad, Asif Ali, Nazir Ahmed, Basharat, Waqar, Yasir, Ahsir Raza, Zeeshan, Nasir Masih and Riaz.

The arrested accused are involved in illegal business of  human trafficking since long. They sent people to Athens, Turkey, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arab and other countries on fake visas and documents after fetching huge amount. The people were deported from said countries whereas the accused were decamped.

However the FIA authorities nabbed accused after solid information of informer. The teams recovered fake visas, documents, letterhead pads of various companies and embassies with Pakistani passports. The team have registered different cases against arrested accused persons while further investigations are still underway.
