LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved pre-arrest bail pleas of two suspects in separate cases of tax evasion.
According to the details, Special Judge Chaudary Ameer Muhammad Khan has granted bail to Hammad Akhtar allegedly involved in sales tax evasion. The Inland Revenue (IR) registered a case against him. The investigations are underway to detect actual amount of tax evasion.
In another case, the customs court granted bail to accused Shabir Ahmad in sales tax and income tax evasion. The IR registered a case against Shabir on filing fake tax returns. The Customs Court approved bails against surety bonds and cash guarantees.
