Customs foils bid to smuggle heroin to foreign country

KARACHI: Customs officials checked the flight no 761 of the Pakistan International Airlines and foiled a bid to smuggle one kilogram of heroin to foreign country.

According to the details, the customs officers deputed at Jinnah International Airport raid the hanger and sealed the flight no PK761.

During the search of the flight, the custom officers found one kilogram of heroin kept in the secret places of the plane’s toilet.

It is the second incident during the last 15 days in which the customs foiled bid to smuggle drugs to foreign countries by using  plane’s toilet.

According to the source, the higher authorities the customs have instructed its officers to remain vigilant through out the day specially in night. The heroin recovered from the plane worth Rs 10 million in international market.

The customs official have started the investigation whereas the PIA employees deputed at the flight no PK 761 will the interrogated. The flight no PK 761 had to fly from Karachi to Dubai.
