Multan Customs invites cellular companies to take part in auction of cell phones‏

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate Multan has invited representatives of cellular companies to take part in auction of cell phones.

The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized various branded cell phones from Multan airport. These seized cell phones were confiscated by the Customs Adjudication after its legal proceedings.

Multan Customs is presenting these cell phones for public auction. It is necessary to mention here that  these mobiles phones were not offered for auction due to strict criteria. The purpose to sell these confiscated branded cell phones to authorized cellular telecommunication companies is to follow the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority set rules.

CellularcCompanies will provide the IMEI number to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) because without registration of IMEI cell phones are prohibited due to law in order situation of Pakistan.

Collector Multan have decided to offer invitation for purchase of these branded cell phones through auction in order to sell these it before the end of fiscal year 2015-16.
