LAHORE: The supply of fruit and vegetables to several parts of the city remained suspended due to closure of main Badami Bagh wholesale fruit and vegetable market.
The main fruit and vegetable market remained closed following murder of two brokers during a gun battle between two groups. However, there was no shortage of essential commodities in Special Ramazan Bazaars.
The closure of Badami Bagh market also continued on Monday. Vendors said that the closure of main wholesale fruit market has not affected the supply significantly as the supply is coming from other wholesale markets including Multan Road and Singhpura wholesale markets.
