PCA imposes penalty on M/s Sehrish Enterprises due to tax evasion

KARACHI: The Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (PCA) has imposed a penalty of Rs 850,000 on M/s Sehrish Enterprises due to tax evasion.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of the import data of two consignments it was revealed that the company availed undue benefits and concessions by using SRO No.551 and 552 and evaded Rs 4.2 million taxes.

It is necessary to mention here that M/s Sehrish Enterprises imported two consignments of aluminum goods and caused a loss of Rs 4.2 million to national kitty. After detecting the tax evasion, PCA authorities also directed the company to deposit short paid amount along with fine of Rs 850,000 at the earliest to avoid further action.
