Overseas Pakistanis showing interest in investing ‘Air Sial’ airline project

SIALKOT: As many as 35 leading Overseas Pakistani investors have shown keen interest in investing the grand project of “Air Sial” airline, a successfully launched initiative of Sialkot exporters to establish their own private airline n self help basis.

Air Sial Executive Board Chairman Fazal Jillani disclosed this while addressing an important meeting of directors and investors of Air Sial held at the auditorium of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here today.

He said that the project of Air Sial airline has met with great success at its initial stage and it was moving ahead successful towards its goal of excellence as well.

 

Fazal Jillani told the meeting that as many as 35 leading Overseas Pakistanis investors were keen to invest in this mega project of Air Sial airline, as the management was actively considering their offers of investment, in this project.

He announced that Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has now registered “Air Sial Limited” company, which would be running the project of establishing Air Sial airline, in this regard.

The meeting was told that a Sialkot based leading exporter Ameen Ehsan has been appointed as the CEO of Air Sial Limited, unanimously.

He said that Air Sial management has doubled the number of its directors from 100 to 200 following the growing demand of this project, saying that out of which as many as 175 directors have yet been registered by Air Sial airline management.

Fazal Jillani termed  this big number registration of the directors of the Air Sial as another landmark achievement for the Sialkot exporters, who will complete this mega project of establishing their own private international airline on self help basis, after the successful completion of the mega project of establishing Sialkot International Airport on self help basis.

Fazal Jillani hoped that Sialkot exporters’ own airline “Air Sial” would be operational at the end of the running year.

He said that the official logo of the ‘Air Sial” airlines would be unveiled soon. The Sialkot exporters today also showed keen interest in this mega project of Air Sial during this important meeting

The meeting was told that the several Boeing aircrafts-manufacturing companies of Europe have contacted the management of the Air Sial for the provision of the aircrafts.

Fazal Jillani also the former President of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), revealed that Sialkot exporters are enriched with the god-given spirit of self help for serving the nation in different sectors on self help basis.

He said that earlier the Sialkot exporters had already completed the mega projects of establishing Sialkot International Airport, Sialkot Dry Port, Sialkot Export Processing Zone(EPZ), Small Industrial Estates, constructing all the main inter-city roads in Sialkot city under the Sialkot City Development Package, Seerat Study Center (for promoting the Islamic Teachings) and several other social  and corporate sectors’ development projects on self help basis, setting the unique examples of self help and advising the others to replicate it
