Customs Court hears 15 cases on Thursday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling on Thursday heard 15 cases, including pre-arrest, post-arrest bail pleas, and recorded the statements of witnesses.

Hearing of pre-arrest bail pleas filed by Saif Ullah, Abdul Razzaq, Raza Ali Shah and Noor Ali were adjourned for new dates.

A case against Muhammad Sadiq was also scheduled for hearing in which the court recorded statements of the parties. Framing of charges against an accused Muhammd Fazal Hussain in a case of narcotics smuggling was also adjourned for next week.

On the day, most of the cases were adjourned without any proceedings as the parties and lawyers concerned did not appear in the court.

Cases of smuggling, tax evasion and narcotics from Lahore, Multan and Gujranwala were scheduled for Thursday.
