Islamabad Customs to hold auction on June 22

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad will hold auction of confiscated vehicles, and goods on June 22, 2016 at Customs State Warehouse situated in sector G-12.

Assistant Collector Tahir Khattak told Customs Today that Islamabad Customs aimed at surpassing the set revenue target of Rs 16.16 billion for financial year 2015-16; therefore, another auction was being held on the advice of the collector.

Tahir Khattak will supervise the auction, while the people from Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Peshawar will participate in the auction.

Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Crown, Toyota double cabin, Toyota Surf, Toyota Hiace, Toyota Sprinter, Nissan sports car, Nissan Safeco, Nissan Magma, Nissan double cabin will be available for auction, the assistant collector said.

Tahir said that the vehicles with changed or altered chassis numbers will not be presented for the auction. It is hoped that the customs will generate around Rs 40 to 50 million through this auction.
