Police to escort RTO staff during tax recovery campaign in Multan

‏MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take assistance of the local police during any raid for the recovery of taxes.

Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office has directed staff to ensure their security before taking any action against tax defaulters. The decision has been made after the RTO Multan staff was manhandled by the owners of Rainbow Printing Solutions (Private) Limited.

The Regional Tax Office has started tax recovery drive from defaulters in the jurisdiction to collect huge revenue target. The Regional Tax Office has decided to take strict action against tax defaulters and tax evaders in the jurisdiction to meet revenue target assigned by the Federal Board of Revenue.

The Federal Board of Revenue has finalized lists of big fishes for crackdown to recover outstanding amount of taxes before the end of fiscal year 2015-16.

Tax authorities of the RTO has formed various teams in special zones to take strict action against defaulters in the territory to recover outstanding goods.
