Faisalabad RTO collects Rs 3,832m during May 2016

FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Faisalabad has surpassed the assigned target of May 2016 by collecting almost Rs 3,842 billion as taxes.

As per details, FBR had assigned the target of Rs 3,248 million for May to the RTO Faisalabad while the RTO not only remained successful in achieving it but also collected 18 percent more revenue than the set target.

On the other hand, Faisalabad region collected Rs1657 million as income tax against the set target of Rs2023 million. Rs 2157 millions were recovered under the head of sales tax against the assigned target of Rs1167 million and Rs18.488 million were collected as federal excise duty (FED), during May, 2016 against target of Rs58 million.

The achievement has been made due to hectic efforts of Chief Commissioner RTO Shad Muhammad and his team comprising commissioners, additional commissioners and other subordinate officers.

The FBR has also appreciated the performance of the RTO and directed authorities concerned to achieve the target of current fiscal year.
