Collector Appraisement-East Ashad Jawwad to chair meeting over revenue collection on Monday‏

KARACHI: Collector Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East Ashad Jawwad has called a high level meeting to discuss revenue collection strategy on Monday.

According to the source, Jawwad will chair the meeting as a few days are left in the current fiscal year to complete the revenue target.

The officers, who will participate in the meeting, have also planned to give presentations to explain their all out efforts to achieve the target. The issues related to the revenue collection as well as the problems faced by the importers will also be placed on the table of Collector Ashad Jawwad.

The source informed that officers are facing some problems from the importers side in filling the payable and legal amount on behalf of the taxes.

It is expected that the Collector Customs CollectorateAppraisement East Ashad Jawwad will ask the officers to serve notices to the importers who are giving hard time to them.

While chairing the meeting all the officers will be asked to boost recoveries and to meet the revenue target given to then at any cost, source added.
