Volkswagen to recall 147,955 vehicles in China

BEIJING: Volkswagen China will recall 147,955 vehicles due to fuse defects, China’s quality watchdog said on Friday.

The recall involves 2004-2012 Touran produced between July 2, 2004 and Dec.28, 2012, according to a statement from China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The fuse of the front light of these vehicles may not function properly in high temperatures and pose safety risks, according to the statement.
