SIALKOT: Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid has said that the Finance Ministry has made plan to resolve the problems of the business community and the present government is taking concrete measures to enhance country’s exports.
Talking to Customs Today during his visit to Sialkot, Zahid Hamid said that no doubt Pakistan’s exports are decreasing day by day but it is not matter of Pakistan rather export and import is decreasing all over the world due to fluctuations in oil prices. He said that it was a matter of concern that the finance ministry was not allocating funds for duty drawback, rebate refunds and export development funds that is why the situation is deteriorating day by day. He said the finance ministry is ready to allocate all funds to exporters and the finance ministry will give good news about allocation of funds in the mid of July 2016. He said that exports are real asset of any country and bacbone of economy.
He said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has already instructed to finance and commerce ministries that improve export and facilitate exporters because if exports will increase then the country’s economy will automatically become strengthened.
He said that the government is promoting exporters of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) because the promotion SMEs exporters is very appropriate for boosting export from Pakistan.He said that it is appreciable matter that the exporters of Sialkot constructed Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT), Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL), Export Free Processing Zone, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, roads in Sialkot city etc.on own self help basis and it is great achievement of industrialists and exporters of Sialkot.
He said that the exporters of Sialkot have good reputation around the world. He said prsent government will take any step to facilitate business community. He said that exporters are playing vital role in strengthening national economy.
He said that the Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif will announce some concessions and facilities after his return from London He said that the prime minister is very happy from the exporter of Sialkot because these exporters earn $2 billion per annum and it is handsome amount to strengthen the economy of Pakistan.
