Customs Appraisement will hold public auction on 20th

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement will hold auction of goods and articles on June 20. The official sources said that auction will be organized at Mughalpura Dry Port

It was added that the commercial goods which were seized on account of non-availability of clearance documentation will be presented for auction.  The sources said that the customs authorities will put for auction articles including NLC coasters, Wackswagons, diesel and goods of all private bonds of Prem Nagar, Lahore Dry Ports.

The auction will be conducted by deuty colletor Appraisement on the directives of Collector of Appraisment Muhammad Sadiq.

The sources said that four collectorrate of Central Region have been instructed to collect as much revenue as they can as the current financial year 2015-16 is going to end and auctions will help them to generate more revenue to achieve target. The source said that instructions have been passed by the Central Region Chief Collector Samaira Nazir Khan.

In pursuance of the instructions, all the four ollectorate have started aggressive auction of seized and disputed goods confiscated in the name of state.  All most all the collectorates have planned to conduct 3-4 auctions every month to achieve revenue target.
