Customs Preventive collects Rs 701m station wise customs duty in May

LAHORE: Collectoarte of Customs Preventive has collected Rs 701 million customs duty from various stations, including Air Freight Unit (AFU), Land Freight Unit (LFU) Wagah, Railways Station T-10 and other stations during the month of May 2016.

The collectorate collected Rs 527 million from AFU Lahore Airport against Rs 444 million which were collected during the same period last year.

The collectorate collected Rs 25 million from LFU Wagah on account of customs duty during the period under review while the collectorate collected Rs 22 million during the same period last year.

Similarly the collectorate collected Rs 137 million from Railways Station T-10 in May against Rs 117 million during the same period last year.

The collectorate rate collected Rs 2.47 million customs duty from other stations during the period under review while the collectorate collected Rs 10.34 million from other station during the same period last year.  Overall the collectorate collected Rs 701 million in May 2016 against Rs 587.95 million during the May 2015.
