Customs Court adjourns four pre-arrest bail pleas

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has adjourned four pre-arrest bail pleas filed by the accused persons in different cases of smuggling.

According to the details, the special court heard 11 cases, which were scheduled for hearing, including four pre-arrest bail pleas. The court adjourned the plea of Saifullah in a smuggling case and  plea of Raza Ali Shah in a vehicle smuggling case. The court also adjourned bail pleas of Abdul Razzaq and Noor Ali until the next hearing.

Meanwhile, a case against Tariq Kazmi was also scheduled for hearing. Tariq Kazmi, was arrested by the customs officials at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore when he was coming back from a Gulf state following the recovery of 70 pieces of cell phones of different brands, including iPhone, Samsung and Nokia from his luggage. The court has adjourned the case for next date.

Cases from Lahore, Multan, Sialkot and Faisalabad were scheduled for hearing on Tuesday.
