Faisalabad Customs collects Rs 2.68 million through auction

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Faisalabad has earned Rs 2.68 million through auction of non-duty paid polyester, auto parts, fax machine, and computer monitors  impounded by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad.

As per details,  Customs authorities presented 92 different lots, including Toyota, Honda car, Suzuki car, Toyota mark- X car, Toyota Vitz, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Hilux Surf, Toyota Vitz, Toyota Hiace and Toyota Corolla for auction. While 32 vehicles were changed in auto parts which attracted suitable bids to the tune of Rs 2,200,000.

Meanwhile, other lots of miscellaneous goods comprising heated display case, display refrigerator, petrol engines for motor bike, white board markers, fax machines, silk cloth, tyres, and others smuggled items were presented for open bids.

The auctions was held under the supervision of deputy collector Rana Falik Shair, superintendent Muhammad Javed, and upper division clerk Khadim Hussain.
