ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) heard and adjourned around a dozen cases pertaining to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) during third week of June.
Majority of the FBR cases were taken by the FST division bench comprising members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed. The bench adjourned the hearing of most of the cases until next month.
These cases included complaints on FBR administration and stated that FBR had deprived it employees from granting seniority, promotion as well as did not ensured implementation over decision announced by the FST.
Appellants, Taimur Khan, Muhammad Jamil, Fazale Subhan, Gul Bahadur and Ghulam Jamil had filed petitions regarding implementation of FST decisions by the FBR.
Naveed Afgan had filed plea about seniority matter which he was not been granted by the FBR while Gohar Rehman, Abdul Wahah Awan, Taj Ali Khan and Muhammad Humayun had filed the reversion application.
Appellant, Gul Rehman of FBR had filed an appeal regarding ‘restoration of appeal’ before the tribunal which had earlier filed in 2013. It is pertinent to mention that majority of these petitions were fresh filed in 2016.
