FBR will lift ban on posting, transfer from July 1

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will lift the ban on posting and transfer of FBR officials from July 1, 2016.

FBR Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan, Member Land Revenue Operation Dr Arshad and Member Customs Nasir Masroor sought the reports of Chief Commissioners, Commissioners, Chief Collectors and Collectors about details of their performance. Sources told Customs Today that those officials who showed poor performance would be transferred and the officers having good performance would be rewarded. “The diligent officials would be definitely rewarded,” Member Administration Majid Qureshi said in a meeting.

As per the FBR sources at the during the list of performance at the top name was the Large Tax payer Unit of Islamabad while the name of Karachi, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sakher, Hyderabad, and Quetta officials authorities were under proceeding for transfer. FBR has sought the files of those officers about that department has decided the transfer. FBR officials further said that department has asked the reasons of lose performance from those officers whose performance remained failed to fulfil their target.

The department has also decided the transfer of head of Field formations whose performance were lose and exchange these officials with those officers which performance comparatively better.
