Mianwali ASO impounds Toyota Land Cruiser worth Rs 1.5m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Mianwali has impounded a Toyota Land Cruiser worth Rs 1.5 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 1.096 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Mianwali ASO Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan received information regarding the smuggling of the vehicle. After receiving information, he constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Inspector Muhammad Umar Bhatti, Muhammad Mansha, Azhar Hussain Jafri, Sepoys Muhammad Saifullah, Muhammad Ghulam Mohyuddin, Faiz Ahmed, Sher Ahmed, Saeed Rasool and Muhammad Yousaf.

The ASO team intercepted Land Cruiser bearing Registration No ID-1011, Model 2012 as per near Musa Khel, Mianwali and asked its owner to provide legal documents of Toyota Land Cruiser but he failed to provide the same. After his failure, the ASO team impounded the vehicle and registered a case against its owner.
