ISLAMABAD: Customs Adjudication Collector Seema Raza Bukhari has issued notices to current and former owners of a car.
The Preventive assistant collector had seized a Toyota Crown of model 1978. The car was registered in 1994 in the name of Jameel Ahmad while no chassis number was found even after chemical treatment. The car bore a Karachi registration plate and a letter had been written to the department concerned in this regard, but no reply has been received so far.
The current owner, Burhan Ali, was directed through a notice to present import documents before the Revenue superintendent, but to no avail.
Later, the case was sent to the Customs Adjudication.
Customs Adjudication Collector Seema Raza Bukhari issued notices to both Burhan Ali and Jameel Ahmad and asked them to appear on December 9.
