Customs Court adjourns four pre-arrest bail pleas

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has adjourned four pre-arrest bail pleas filed by accused persons in different smuggling cases.

On Wednesday, the Customs Court adjourned pre-arrest bail plea of Muhammad Nasir Durani who is wanted by Lahore Customs in a case of smuggling. In another smuggling case against Suleman Dawood, the court adjourned his pre-arrest bail plea.

The court also postponed hearing of a bail plea filed by Sajid Mehmood in a case vehicle smuggling case, while plea of Khurram Shehzad also adjourned who is wanted in currency smuggling case.

The Customs Court also heard the case of Muhammad Toufeeq who is on bail in currency smuggling and adjourned it until next hearing. It also concluded statements and witnesses in a case against Niaz Muhammad who was arrested on charges of smuggling.
