Customs playing vital role to strengthen national economy: Additional Collector Faiz Ali

SIALKOT: Additional Collector of Customs  Sialkot Faiz Ali  has said that Pakistan Customs is playing a pivotal role in bringing betterment in national economy, ensuring economical stability besides providing all the trade and customs-related facilities to the business community.

While talking to Customs Today here the other day, Additional Collector Faiz  Ali said  that the Pakistan Customs is upgraded on modern lines. Besides, steps have been taken to enable traders, industrialists, importers and exporters to meet the global trade challenges and getting the complete benefits of the WTO and GPS Plus status regime.

He said that all the problems of the business community are being resolved amicably on top priority, in this regard.

He said that Customs Department has vowed to strong the country economically and the struggle of this department will increase day by day. He said the Customs department is taking keen interest to curb smuggling under anti smuggling campaigns which were started by the orders of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He said the results of this campaign are positive. He said that the exporters of Sialkot are are trying hard to increase their exports.

He said that the Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) export should improve because it is need of time and much better for improvement of exports.
