PRA seals 3 restaurants on charges of sales tax evasion

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has sealed three famous restaurants in posh areas of Lahore on sales tax evasion.

According to the details, special teams of PRA have started crackdown against luxury restaurants that are involved in evasion of sales tax. High official of PRA said that these restaurants were earning huge profits but they are reluctant to pay taxes.

On special directions of Commissioner Javed Ahmad, the teams took action against Al Kabab restaurant in Gulberg and sealed it. PRA has also confiscated the sales record of the resturant for further investigation.

Meanwhile, another team took action against Zakir Tikka located in Johar Town that was receiving taxes from customers but not paying to the government. In another action in Faisal Town, the officials also sealed a restaurant on sales tax evasion.
