Additional Collector Saima Aftab hears three cases

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab conducted the hearing of three smuggling cases filed by Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

Sources told Customs Today that additional collector heard a case against Khurrum Shezad allegedly involved in smuggling of black tea (5,950 kilograms ) worth Rs 1,270,000. Additional Collector Saima Aftab also heard case of Noor Muhammad and others involved in smuggling of polyester grey fabric weighing 14,080 kilograms loaded on a trailer bearing registration no. TLH- 227 and evaded customs duty and taxes worth Rs 1,354,498 . Sources said that additional collector also heard a case of accused Muhammad Imran who is owner of the trailer no. TLC- 868 which was being used for transportation of smuggled goods and was plying on road without payment of duty/taxes.

Sources said that two cases were forwarded by Customs Intelligene and Investigations authorities Faisalabad, one was forwarded by Regional Tax Office Faisalabad and third case was submitted by Field Investigation Unit (FIU) Khushab.
