BRASÍLIA: Brazilian exports of flat steel products in June fell 36.1% from a year ago to 138,140 mt, data from the Ministry of Development and Foreign Trade showed. In June 2015, exports of these goods totaled 216,354 mt.
Hot-rolled coil exports alone fell 45.6% to 100,695 mt from 185,048 mt in June last year. For cold-rolled coil, exports grew 19.6% to 18,723 mt from 15,653 mt. For hot-dip galvanized, volumes exported surged 96.9% to 51,973 mt from 26,392 mt a year ago. In monetary terms, total exports were worth $55.24 million FOB in June, down 41.7% on the year from $94.71 million FOB.
