IHC to hear 3 tax cases against FBR field offices today

ISLAMABAD: A single bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear three tax matters on Tuesday carrying complaint against the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) field offices.

The bench comprising Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb would hear the cases filed by Sky Petroleum and Allied Services (Private) Limited, Jameel Ur Rehman and M/S Smart Zone (Private) Limited.

The Sky Petroleum and Allied Services had filed the case against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) and officers of the FBR.

Jameel-ur-Rehman had made only FBR officers as respondent in the case and had made Regional Tax office’s deputy commissioner as main opponent.

M/s Smart Zone Private Limited had filed the case against the FBR field officers and also named the FBR chairman in the case.

The FBR had not submitted names of its counsels in the said cases yet. However, Rahat shaheen, Atif mehmood and Sikandar Qazi would represent the appellants in the said cases respectively.
